Everest
2001
Welcome
to the Everest 2001 Web Site. My name is Francois Langlois and
I will be attempting to climb and summit our highest peak on
the planet, Mount Everest.
I
will be will leaving in March 2001 with my climbing team for
Nepal. Our expedition will spend 2 months preparing and slowly
climbing this great mountain; so that in the month of May, we
may be physically and mentally fit, properly acclimated, and
weather permitting; in a position to attempt at reaching the
top of the world!
The
purpose of this Web site is to share my Everest experience with
all who are interested. I want to share what I have learned
in my journey; from my thoughts, to the dream, to the preparations,
to the obstacles encountered along the way, to it's conclusion.
Getting
around my site:
What you will find as you scroll through this site: a brief
history of the mountain, some interesting facts pertaining to
Mountain Statistics, Equipment
needed, Tests and useful Links
to other sites. You will also find Bio's on the expedition Team
members, a logbook that describes the Itinerary,
the Route Map and a Current
News section of the expedition during its progress! You
will find many other interesting things.
