March 2001

22: Depart North America en route to Thailand

23: Arrive Bangkok Thailand, overnight hotel

24: Fly BKK to Kathmandu Nepal, expedition begins, hotel

25: Preparations in Kathmandu, hotel

26: Final preparations Ktm, hotel

27: Fly to Lukla, begin trek to basecamp

28-3 April: Trek to basecamp

April 2001

4: Arrive and set up basecamp, 17,500 ft

5-6: Continue base camp preparations, Puja ceremony

7-13: Acclimatization climbs through icefall, set up camp 1, 20,000 ft

14-20: Acclimatization climbs up to advance base camp, set up ABC camp, 21,500 ft

21-27: Acclimatization climbs up to camp 3, set up camp 3, 24,000ft

28-4 May: Acclimatization climbs up to South Col., set up camp 4, 26,400ft

 

May 2001

5-9: Rest at Basecamp or lower, prepare for summit attempts

10-22 Waiting for good weather and conditions, summit attempts , 29,028ft

23-26 Remove equipment from mountain, prepare for trek out

27-31 Trek to Lukla, Fly to Kathmandu

 

June 2001

1-3: Final days in Kathmandu before departure for home.
